About

Hey! I’m Derin Chisel. A graphic designer based in Milano.

Quietly – and sometimes not-so-quietly – I observe life, love, relationships, and the strange little dance of human connection. I started questioning reality when I was 9. After years of trying to “fit in” and figure out who I am, I’ve come to realize: my life has been less of a linear path and more of an experience.

I moved away from home at 18. Since then, I’ve found “home” in cities, in passing moments, in people; some who stayed, and some who didn’t. Like most of us, I’ve had my heart broken more than once. I’ve navigated almosts, maybes, and messy in-betweens.

So I did what any romantic realist would do:
I channeled my inner narrator… and started writing.

This blog is where I process the things we don’t always say out loud. The blurry spaces between love and loss. The unsent messages. The emotional fine print.
It’s honest. A little raw. And probably too much at times.

Just like me.
